Our "Extra Special" Pets...

(Special Needs)

Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie)

Scooter is about as much of a character as you can get! He can be the most loving dog until you try to make him do something he doesn't want to... then he looks like Kujo.
Same with other dogs and cats. (Luckily he doesn't have many teeth left so it's all bluster.)
Scooter was dumped on the streets of Chicago to fend for himself. As a senior with only 2 teeth - that was not an option!
He may be special needs, but he is very lovable. All he needs is a special someone to understand him...

Hi! My name is Bobbie.
I was hit by a car! Then a board fell on me when I was trying to run! So, my back was broken, which is why I walk a little funny.
My owner was a little girl. When I came home injured the Mom of the house took the little girl and me to the Animal Shelter so they could put me to sleep.
When we got to the Shelter another woman was there from a different rescue group and she said she would take me and work with me. I had back surgery and here I am looking for my forever home!
I'm about 2 years old, and love being held by my foster Mom! I'm also vocal, and like to talk and follow you around.
I'm not familiar with dogs, but if you introduce me properly it wouldn't be an issue for me to live in the same house with them...
I'm VERY tolerant of other cats and always use my litter box! I'm just looking for someone who will love me forever..

Domestic Short Hair

Moochie's a big, handsome, affectionate, black and white tuxedo boy who was rescued from a high kill animal control in southern Illinois - literally hours before he was to be killed.
He was abandoned by family members after his elderly owner passed away. When coming into rescue it was discovered that he is FIV+. He's otherwise healthy, happy, and interactive... but so lonely!
Poor Moochie doesn't understand why he has to kept separated from the other kitties in his foster home. He craves attention from people, is playful, and a big purr ball. Just wants to be loved and cuddled!
FIV+ kitties can live long, healthy lives with good nutrition and when kept indoors. Moochie gets along great with dogs... but should be an only cat. (Or he could live with other FIV+ kitties.)
He's about 5 years old, neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines.

Domestic Short Hair

Tiger's an incredibly sweet 5-year old orange tabby.
He must be diapered because his back legs cannot support him due to a birth defect.
(He only needs two diaper changes a day - one in the am and one in the pm.) He's Poly-dactyl (has an extra pad on each front foot), and has no trouble grabbing things!
Tiger's a very active boy with a delightful fun-loving sense of humor. He hops, flips, and jumps across the floor when he is playing. Additionally he is very vocal, and will always tell you what is on his mind!
He's truly a joy to be around, and is a normal fun, happy, healthy cat as far as he's concerned!
Also, two special benefits you get when you adopt Tiger is that he will never jump onto your counters and you have no litter box that you have to deal with!
He's a wonderful cat, and just wants to find a forever home!
So, if you're a special person who wants a very special guy, please contact his foster mom at 630.837.3915.
